Updating a Lead Status

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to change the status of a lead within a customer's profile in the CRM.

Steps:

  1. Open the Customer Profile: Navigate to the customer profile that contains the lead you want to update.

  2. Locate the Lead:  Within the customer profile, find the specific lead you wish to modify. It will be displayed in the "Active Lead" section.

  3. Access the "Change Lead Status" Dropdown: In the lead section, you'll find a dropdown menu labeled "Change Lead Status." Click on this menu to reveal the available lead status options.

  4. Select the New Status:  Choose the appropriate status from the list that best reflects the current stage of the lead.  For example, you might select "Appointment Set" if you've scheduled an appointment with the customer, or "Demo" if they've done a test drive.

  5. Status Updated: Once you've selected the new status, the lead status will be automatically updated in the system and a new follow up plan will ensue.
